I was easily able to order this from amazon.co.uk on the day of release, and it arrived at my US mailbox a few days later. The DVD’s are PAL 16:9 coded for regions 2 and 4. If you have a region free DVD player you are good to go. If not, December is just around the corner

It’s true that in the past the U.S. version have had more extras, but starting with the Season 5 UK release they moved the DVD’s release back a month so that the UK release would have everything the US release had.

Seems like the US version usually has a few extras too, like a prequel or something while the UK version doesn’t. Does that sound right?

It’s simply the way it’s always been, U.S. gets it later because Fox use it as a way to promote the new season.
