I don’t think it would be a good idea because the character would loose his originality and his complexity and above all what I love in him: his dark and desperate aspect blended with his humanity “all his flaws and his goodness” as said the Imam.
And I think the show would loose a part of its main interest: how far to go to save lives ?? how far is too far ?

Anyway I like very much your analysis
