The emmy nominations where announced today, with 24 coming away with 6 nominations. The most meaningful nomination (especcially since they missed out on a best drama nomination, which they won last year) is Kiefer being nominated for Best Actor (which he won last year). He goes up against James Spader (Boston Legal), Hugh Laurie (House), Denis Leary (Rescue Me) & James Gandolfini (The Sopranos) for the award.
The other categories the show got nominated for were, Outstanding Guest Actress (Jean Smart), Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Sean Callery), Outstanding Sound Editing For A Series, Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (Bill Gocke, Jeff Gomillion, Kenneth Kobett, Michael Olman) & Outstanding Stunt Coordination (Jeff Cadiente)

This came into my inbox today, Children’s charity “Variety” have a pair of jeans worn by Kiefer as part of his Jack Bauer wardrode during the course of season 6 up for auction on ebay. So if you want to own a genuine part of the show, now is your chance, and the money is going to charity.

These jeans are a unique wardrobe item. Generally, a costume is worn in only one scene or a few scenes in a movie or television show. Since an entire season of 24 takes place over only one day, these jeans were worn repeatedly and can be seen throughout an entire season.
Certificate of Authenticity will be provided to the winner. The winner will also recieve an image of the jeans being worn by Jack Bauer on the set.

Kiefer was today at the Princess Diana Memorial concert held at the new Wembley Stadium by Princes William & Harry. He paid a short tribute to her and introduced a band.

As i’ve posted previously, the 400th episode of The Simpsons (or was it 399th?) will be a 24 parody called “24 Minutes” starring Kiefer and Mary Lynn
Anyway, a brief clip from it has surfaced on the web. The episode airs this sunday on Fox in the U.S. and i’m sure a U.K. airing on Sky One can’t be far behind.

“24 Minutes”, … done in 24 style complete with multi frames and nerve-wracking ticking. Guest stars Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub will play their Monday night alter egos, Jack Bauer and Chloe O’Brian. Seems like Springfield Elementary has set up a CTU of its own. Yes the educational mecca of Springfield for lo these last 18 seasons now runs a Counter Truancy Unit, manned by CTU agents Bart and Lisa Simpson. Set up by Principal Skinner, the CTU faces uncertain times as rumors of a stink bomb to be detonated during a school bake sale has everyone on edge. Or, as “on-edge” as a cartoon character could be.
It airs this sunday in the States, not a clue about a U.K. airing, though i’m sure it can’t be too far behind.

The time-travelling doctor beat federal agent Jack Bauer, played in the hit US show 24 by Kiefer Sutherland, to second place. The poll for radiotimes.com was conducted to find the coolest character - defined as laidback and sexy - on TV.

Kiefer Sutherland’s East Side Entertainment has landed a script-development deal with the Sci Fi Channel for the two-hour pilot of a proposed series called “Phenomenon.”
News that Kiefer’s production company, created as apart of his latest ‘24′ deal with Fox has snagged it’s first major project.
